Bergan Casey

Principal

Bergan Casey has been providing communications and organizational management support to non-profit clients for more than 20 years. Her toolbox includes media relations, writing and editing services, collateral support, issue and advocacy campaigns, fundraising assistance, board training, and strategic planning. Bergan loves finding the clearest path forward for her clients. By balancing function and innovation, she guides her clients toward new ways of conducting business without losing site of their missions.

She holds a B.S. in Advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT Austin. Following graduate school she worked for the Office of the City Auditor (Austin) where she learned to measure performance and impact and she integrates those skills into her communications and strategic planning work. Before starting her own company, Bergan worked for public relations/public affairs agencies in Austin, Washington, D.C., and London.

Current volunteer commitments include Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Preservation Austin, Moms Demand Action, Helping Hand Home for Children, and First United Methodist Church of Austin, among others. She keeps her deputy voter registration certification active so she can register anyone in a heartbeat.

Aside from work, Bergan enjoys hanging out with family, cooking, hiking, playing tennis, swimming, skiing, reading fiction and listening to podcasts on random subjects. Like most of the world, she developed a greater appreciation for outdoor spaces during the pandemic.
